Sam Smith is back in the studio, which leads us to surmise that Sam Smith is making new music, which means that new Sam Smith music will be coming in the near future.
The singer, who hasn't released any new music since his 2014 debut album (bar Spectre's 'Writing's on the Wall'), posted a bunch photos on Instagram, captioning them all: "Recording x."
Pictured alongside Sam and his band is Jimmy Napes, who co-wrote Sam's Grammy-winning single from 2014 'Stay with Me' from his debut album In the Lonely Hour.
Last month, Timbaland shared a snap on Instagram himself with Sam and Jimmy, with the caption: "We're just getting started."
Sam revealed in March 2016 that he'd be taking a step back from Twitter for a while, although he returned in December to pay tribute to the late George Michael, who passed away on Christmas Day at the age 53.
He wrote: "@GeorgeMichael. Words can't express how much you and your music meant and means to me. Please play his music as loud as you can today & celebrate one the most magical, talented, bravest & important figures in music & life as I know it.
"Your music & message will live on. I would not be the artist I am if it wasn't for you."
