Perry Farrell, a former band member rock group Jane's Addiction and founder one the United State's biggest festivals, Lollapalooza has got his eyes set on an upcoming House-music focused project!
What started f as a plan to be a one-f event during a hiatus year turned into a fast-growing festival, Lollapalooza is now heading into its 25th year. Lollapalooza started f as a festival that explored the realms Alternative and Rock music but nowadays, it explores a wide range genres from Hip-Hop to EDM.
In a recent interview, Perry Farrell stated that he 'seems ready to move on from his involvement in Lollapalooza and is already working on a new "project" that will keep music at the heart, but be a "completely new experience".
Perry Farrell doesn't enjoy the new wave EDM and is hoping to bring out the best House music for his upcoming project. "I hate EDM. I want to vomit it out my nostrils. I can't stand what it did to what I love, which is house music, which was meditative, psychedelic — it took you on a journey. … I sometimes cringe at my own festival."
Perry Farrell's project is expected to launch around 18 months from now.
