What happens when you cross one the biggest UK male recording artists recent years with an absolute classic first recorded by the Princess Pop herself?
Ed Sheeran recording an acoustic cover Britney Spears' 'Baby One More Time' for Spotify, course.
The singer stopped by Spotify Studios in NYC to record acoustic performances 'Castle on the Hill' and the Britney hit, but seeing as we've all heard Ed sing 'Castle on the Hill' plenty times before, we'll skip to the good stuff:
Since taking some time out the spotlight last year, Ed has returned to the music world in phenomenal style in 2017, releasing his record-breaking new album ÷ and really proving that those rumours he's planning on retiring simply aren't true at all.
He's even managed to work with One Direction star Liam Payne on his debut solo 'Strip That Down' (and features on the song itself too, course) as well as dropping by Los Angeles to help James Corden get to work and eat a bunch Maltesers while doing so.

Sheeran is currently touring his new album around the world and enjoying views like the one below every night, and he'll soon be back on TV screens with a guest appearance in the upcoming series Game Thrones too.
As for Britney, while she hasn't yet reacted to the most recent cover version one her biggest hits, she has been in the news herself recently after a video her singing 'Toxic' without Auto-Tune proved once and for all that she can sing – and can sing really well too.
